Colleges Against Cancer will host a "November No Shave" shave pary. Trophies will be awarded for the longest beard, best mustache, most funds raised and longest arm/leg hair. Other prizes include gift cards to Jiva and more.
Black Student Union (BSU) will host an open mic night where participants can showcase their talents be it a poet, rapper, singer, dancer or hula hoop. Everyone is welcome.
Campus Activities Board (CAB) presents "Self/less," a PG-13 fantasy/mystery film featuring Ben Kingsley and Ryan Reynolds. Showings are at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
The American Red Cross and Sigma Alpha Epsilon will host their second blood drive of the semester. One donation can help save up to three lives. Sign up for appointments online at the link below or look for information booths in Maucker Union the week before and the week of the drive.
Students interested in geography can attend the Student 2 Student program with the Geography Club, hosted by the Exploring Living Learning Community in Bender Hall. Students will go geocaching with the Geography Club on UNI's campus and learn more about the geography major. The program will begin in Bender Hall's Rec Room and is open to all students.
The Film Appreciation Club will watch Martin Scorsese's 1980 masterpiece "Raging Bull", starring Robert De Niro.
Jerry Organ, University of St. Thomas School of Law, host a mock law class. The class will be conducted in a classroom format and will focus on a Missouri case dealing with the issue of adverse possession. Food and beverages will be provided. RSVP to email@example.com to receive the reading materials; participants should read the materials prior to the class and be prepared to participate. Organ, a nationally-recognized expert on legal education and the legal profession, will be available after the class to answer questions about the improving employment situation for law school graduates, law school in general and the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
The International Student Association will host a Halloween dance party. Free food, games and entertainment; open to everyone.
The Film Appreciation Club will show the cult classic "Donnie Darko" in the final installment of the Halloween History of Horror series. Halloween costumes are encouraged but not required.
