The Plinian Society will host guest speaker Dr. John Groves, paleontologist from UNI. Dr. Groves interest involve systematics, evolution and biostratigraphy of Paleozoic foraminiferans. Come and join us to learn more about this interesting extinct creature!
The 5K Run for the Preserves is a cross country race to promote the use of UNI’s beautiful natural preserves by students and community members. Registration is $10 for students and $12 for non-students. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the race starting at 10 a.m. Register before September 30 and recieve a free shirt! Help Alpha Xi Delta raise awareness and research funds for Autism Speaks. Events include a basket auction, carnival games, food and more. Form a team of up to five people to compete in the Puzzlepalooza Challenge, a puzzle competition. Cost is $5 per person to participate and all funds raised will benefit Autism Speaks.
