UNI Colleges Against Cancer holds the Relay For Life of UNI each year. All proceeds raised go directly to the American Cancer Society. There will be lots of fun activities, free food and live bands. Check out our facebook page, Relay For Life of UNI 2013.

Public relations executive Sue O’Brien will discuss getting started and staying in a public relations career. She is a three-time Silver Anvil Award winner, with more than 20 years experience in the public relations industry. As a senior practice leader at the Minneapolis-based Exponent PR, she has created decisive programs for premium brands including Friskies PetCare, Nestlé Purina, and the Iams Company. O'Brien will share her background and how she got started in the industry, as well as how to grow and advance within the public relations industry.

Tired of your clothes? Don't want to pay for new ones? Clean out your closet during spring break and participate in UNI's Clothing Exchange: Reduce, Reuse, Rewear. For every one item you bring, you will receive one item in return. Bring your gently used clothes, shoes and accessories to the Student Involvement Center in Maucker Union March 11-26 or bring them on the day of the event. All leftover items will be donated to local charities.

The purpose of this event is to create awareness about the disparity in world food distribution and the millions of people who remain malnourished. Participants will be randomly divided into groups representing different income levels and given meals based on what is typical of that income group.

Chad Pregracke grew up on the Mississippi River and realized that the Mississippi, along with many other rivers, needed to be cleaned up. Since 1998, he has created a social movement around improving the quality of our nation's rivers. Chad shares an incredible message about how one person can use an environmental issue to make a large impact on the planet.
