Check out sorority life at UNI. There are four sororities on campus, each with their own chapter house, philanthropy and scholarship program. There are three events during the recruitment process: house tours, philanthropy and preference. The Quest to Unravel Alzheimer's Scavenger Hunt (QUASH) is a part physical, part mental, campus-wide scavenger hunt that raises awareness and funds to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

The University of Northern Iowa Interfraternty Council is hosting Walk a Mile in Her Shoes in coordination with Seeds of Hope on Thursday, April 18, 2013. For this event, men will walk a mile in red high heels to raise awareness for sexual assault and gender violence. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes begins at the UNI Alumni house and ends on the top of Maucker Union.
