UNI Proud will host a discussion about LGBTQ sexual health. Students can anonymously submit questions about sexuality; those questions will be answered during the discussion.

The Black Student Union will host a discussion about the stigma and stereotypes between light skinned and dark skinned people. All are welcome to participate in the discussion. For more information email bsu@uni.edu .

Richard Thompson Ford, an expert on civil rights and anti-discrimination law, will present "Law, Rights and Universal Principles." Ford will offer an analysis of human rights' struggles across the globe, discussing the realities of observing "universal" principles in specific cultures. The presentation is in conjunction with the CME Book Club, which will be discussing Ford's books "Rights Gone Wrong: How Law Corrupts the Struggle for Equality" and "Universal Rights Down to Earth" before the lecture. Ford's presentation is free and open to the public.

Join us for s'mores and a campfire. Food or drinks to share are welcome. After the party we will walk together as a group to go Campaniling.

You are invited to join us in remembering members of the LGBT community that have died as a result of suicide or hate crimes. We will discuss the prevalence of hate crimes against LGBT people, as well as the rate of suicide In the community. The only thing we ask that you bring is love.

Come join us in celebrating the presence of our straight/cisgender allies! We will be talking about the importance of allies in our community and what it means to be an ally.

The Hispanic Latino Student Union is hosting a Quinceañera Dance Party. Come and celebrate the last event for Hispanic Heritage Month. Admission is free; refreshments provided.

Join the Multicultural Teaching Alliance and learn what it's like to teach or student teach internationally. Guest speakers (including a student teacher who will Skype with us from Costa Rica) will share their first-hand experiences with international teaching and discuss how education majors can complete their student teaching in an international placement.
