Dr. Wendy Hoofnagle, Languages & Literatures, will present “Chaucer’s ‘tikel-ish Wife of Bath:  The Unstable Female Body in the Middle Ages.” The Women’s & Gender Studies Program sponsors the Current Research on Women Forum Series. Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to gather for informal presentation and discussion. Bring your lunch!

In Dying City, a young therapist, Kelly, whose husband Craig was killed while on military duty in Iraq, is confronted a year later by his identical twin Peter, who suspects that Craig’s death was not accidental. Set in a downtown-Manhattan apartment after dark, scenes shift from the confrontation between Peter and Kelly, to Kelly’s complicated farewell with her husband Craig. Shinn’s disturbing, sophisticated drama—infused with references to 9/11 and the war in Iraq—explores how contemporary politics and recent history have transformed the lives of these three characters.

The UNI Community Music School and Suzuki School will join together to present this chamber festival recital. This event is free and open to the public.

The math fair is a free opportunity for fourth, fifth and sixth grade students in the Cedar Valley to experience math through fun, hands-on activities featuring interactive booths.

Snack provided. Appropriate for children K-6^th grades. $10 Friends members; $12 nonmembers. Registration and payment due by February 24.

The conference will include presentations by various panels presenting research on topics such as state and presidential politics to foreign policy and national security.
