Cedar Valley Nonprofit Awards Luncheon

The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association will host the annual Cedar Valley Nonprofit Awards Luncheon to recognize the contributions of local nonprofits and nonprofit leaders. Awards that will be presented are for individuals and organizations. The categories include Business Partner of the Year, Nonprofit Staff Leader of the Year, Nonprofit Board Member of the Year, Koob Award for Collaboration, Gordon Mack Award for Student Leadership, Legacy Award, New Nonprofit Employee of the Year, Exceptional Nonprofit of the Year.

Second Annual Town Hall for Community Engagement

Faculty, staff and students are invited to meet nonprofit community leaders to create partnerships that will support faculty research and scholarship, build service-learning opportunities to complement classroom instruction, and introduce students to service projects. Nonprofit community leaders are invited to meet faculty, staff and students to create partnerships that will build capacity for their organizations, mission, programs and services. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m.

RCR 1: ethical issues in qualitative research

The Center for Academic Ethics and the Graduate College will host this workshop which will  help participants become acquainted with key ethical issues involved in research and scholarship. There will be presentations and interactive discussion on topics including integrity in authorship, data management and collaboration in scholarship as they pertain to qualitative inquiries. The target audience is graduate students, but all are welcome to attend. Registration is required.
