Guernica

Sat, 10/08/2011 - 7:30pm

Before 9-11, there was Guernica! The Spanish town of Guernica was home to a tragic historical event that inspired Picasso to create a masterpiece. Guernica, the play, follows Eric, a young aspiring artist who meets a man claiming to be Pablo Picasso, offering him a seductive opportunity: create an even grander canvas. Join Eric, the Man, and his mysterious friends as they explore the creative process and the madness of war while the "Guernica," on exhibition, comes to life in this passionate, intellectual drama. The Strayer-Wood Theatre presents the Midwest premiere of this award-winning play.
