Costa Rica is a land of unique creatures, colorful plant life, beaches, mountains and wonderful people.  Learn how you can receive your capstone credit by traveling to Costa Rica and taking part in activities such as swimming with dolphins, hiking through the rainforest and ziplining. 

Study Abroad will present information about summer study abroad programs.

Presented by the RRTTC, this film follows why honeybees have been mysteriously disappearing across the planet, literally vanishing from their hives. Known as Colony Collapse Disorder, scientists puzzle over the cause. Organic beekeepers indicate alternative reasons for this tragic loss and after years of research, a definitive answer has not been found to this harrowing mystery.

Information about upcoming activities of the Governor's STEM Advisory Council will be provided. Discussion will include regional STEM networks for Iowa, scale-up of exemplary programs and action planning on seven priorities (including teacher recruitment, public awareness, STEM pipeline diversity and public-private partnerships).
