Guest Artist Master Class: David Krakauer, clarinet

Visiting artist David Krakauer will present a master class. Known simply as "Krakauer" to his fervent following, David is nothing less than an American original who has embarked on a tremendous journey transforming the music of his Eastern European Jewish heritage into something uniquely contemporary. That journey has lead Krakauer to an astounding diversity of projects and collaborations ranging from solo appearances with orchestras to major festival concerts with his own improvisation based bands. This event is free and open to the public.

UNI Brass Day

The UNI School of Music presents a brand new, day-long event for brass players. Events will include brass master classes as part of our All State Brass Workshop, as well as interactive sessions with UNI faculty artists and a 5 p.m. final concert featuring participating students in like-instrument ensembles as well as in a large massed ensemble. The Northern Brass Quintet will complete the program with their own selections. For more information, contact Anthony.Williams@uni.edu.
