Goché received his master of architecture from Iowa State University and is senior lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design. He is co-investigator and author of "Guidelines for Spatial Regeneration in Iowa." His sculpture, titled "Water Hutch," was recently featured in Iowa Architect magazine. This lecture is presented in association with the UNI Gallery of Art exhibition titled "Line and Space: Stagings by Peter P. Goché."

The University of Northern Iowa "Writers Talk" Reading Series will host a reading by poet, James Cihlar, at 3:30 p.m., Friday, September 28, in Baker 161 on the UNI campus. This event is free and open to the public.
James Cihlar is the author of the poetry books Rancho Nostalgia (Dream Horse Press, 2013), Undoing (Little Pear Press, 2008) and chapbook Metaphysical Bailout (Pudding House Press). His writing has been published in the American Poetry Review, The Awl, Court Green, Smartish Pace, The Rumpus, Prairie Schooner, Lambda Literary Review, and Forklift, Ohio.

The 31st Annual Scholarship Benefit concert will celebrate the 120th Anniversary of the School of Music at UNI, and will feature music by faculty artists John Hines, Sean Botkin and Randy Grabowski, the Northern Iowa Wind Symphony, the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, the UNI Opera Ensemble, Jazz Band One, UNI Singers, Concert Chorale, Women’s Chorus and the Varsity Men’s Glee Club.
