Law School Information Meeting

Daniel Webster Law Society will host a law school Q&A session. Scott Peters, associate professor of political science and pre-law adviser, will discuss how to best prepare for law school, factors that law schools consider in admission, preparing for the LSATs and other areas of concern for pre-law students. Social media around the world: A discussion with international students

A panel of international students will explore similarities and differences in the forms and use of social media both within the students’ home countries and as international students in the United States. Sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology Colloquium Series, the Department of Languages and Literatures, Reaching for Higher Ground and UNI Business Global Associates.

Lecture: Social Media and Chinese Trans/Nationalism

Public lecture by Dr. Hui Wilcox, associate professor of sociology at St. Catherine’s University. Wilcox will discuss the spread of the multisensory social media app WeChat among Chinese immigrants and its implications for the study of transnationalism. Sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology Colloquium Series, the Department of Languages and Literatures, Reaching for Higher Ground and UNI Business Global Associates.

International Opportunities Fair

This is the "one stop shop" event to learn about international opportunities. It is your chance to explore study, work, intern and volunteer opportunities abroad. There will be a variety of booths staffed with individuals to answer your questions about credit transfer, health concerns, international travel and have your passport photo taken. Past participants will be available to answer questions.
