Dr. John Talley will present "The Search for Celebrex". Talley is one of the world’s most accomplished medicinal chemists and a co-inventor of Celebrex® and seven other drugs that have reached the marketplace. He currently serves as chief scientific officer at St. Louis based SARmont. He received a B.A. in Science from the University of Northern Iowa in 1974 and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1979.

Marshall Curry, two-time Academy Award nominee, will be the second visiting filmmaker in the William and Stephanie Clohesy Documentary Film Series. Curry will host a screening of the Academy Award nominated documentary Racing Dreams. This film follows two boys and a girl who dream of one day racing in NASCAR. The film won numerous awards including the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival Award for Best Documentary.
Under the direction of UNI School of Music visiting artist and conductor Dyan Meyer the UNI Concert Chorale will offer a fall choral music concert. This event is ticketed. For tickets, call (319) 273-4TIX.

This film won the Audience Awards at the Tribeca Film Festival, AFI/Discovery SilverDocs Festival and Hot Docs Festival. It also received the Jury Prize for Best International Documentary at Hot Docs and was nominated for a Writer's Guild of America Award.
