Artist Series: Mavis Staples and Blind Boys of Alabama

She brought down the house last fall when she opened for Bonnie Raitt, now she’s back, this time with the Blind Boys of Alabama. This will be a holiday infused concert you won’t soon forget. Staples has been a rock of American music for more than six decades. She’s a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, a National Heritage Fellowship Award winner…the list goes on and on. The Blind Boys of Alabama, performing together for almost 80 years, are gospel legends. Don’t miss this night of music that will speak to your heart and feed your soul.

In this hilarious musical tale, Buddy, an orphan who ended up at the North Pole to be raised by elves, realizes he’s actually human - his enormous (human) size and inability to make toys are dead giveaways. He heads to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity and bring the true meaning of Christmas back to the city. Based on the now classic 2003 film, this musical is happy enough for kids and plenty smart for adults – truly a show for the entire family!

It’s not until you indulge in Hackett Miller’s critically acclaimed production of “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” that you begin to realize why Sandy Hackett’s own personal connection to these iconic legends has allowed him to tell this story unlike any other producer or performer. Sandy’s father, legendary comedian Buddy Hackett, was the best of friends with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop – and together, they all made history.

Artist Series: Roots and Boots

Whether you know these guys by name or by their songs – you know them. With more than 40 top 10 hits between them, this will be a night of favorites. An intimate show filled with stories and songs…getting to the roots of country music, featuring songs like “John Deere Green,” “Kiss This,” “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful” and so many more.

Artist Series: The Best of Jethro Tull performed by Ian Anderson

Fronting Jethro Tull and performing simply under his own name, Ian Anderson has performed in more than 54 countries over 45 years; he is widely considered an icon of the genre and is recognized as the protagonist of the flute in rock music. With more than 60 million albums sold in its career, Tull has been characterized by Anderson’s trademark acoustic textures created with ethnic flutes and whistles together with acoustic guitar and the mandolin family of instruments. His eclectic acoustic performances are also a hit with fans of the progressive genre.
