Bruce Hornsby is a master of the keyboard. Having won a Grammy in 1986 for best new artist, he refused to be pinned down stylistically. Songs like “The Way It Is,” “Mandolin Rain,” and “Every Little Kiss” introduced us to Hornsby’s thoughtful lyrics and distinctive right hand piano runs. A collaborator at heart, Hornsby has played with and written for The Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley, Ricky Skaggs, Bela Fleck and Branford Marsalis. In the music world, working with Hornsby is a rare pleasure, experiencing him in an intimate venue like the Gallagher Bluedorn will be as well.
