Faculty artist Amanda McCandless will be performing chamber works for clarinet. Contributing artists include Hannah Porter-Occeña, flute, Heather Peyton, oboe, Brisa de Paula, bassoon, Maddy Tarantelli, horn, Erik Rohde, violin, Sean Botkin, piano, and Matt Andreini, percussion. This event is free and open to the public.

This event is open to all treble-voiced singers in grades 4-6. Students will have sectionals and rehearsals on the concert repertoire, have the opportunity to work with members of the UNI Cecilians, and all events will culminate in a performance in the Gallagher Bluedorn. Quantum computing – and how it’s revolutionizing our world – is the focus of this year’s Begeman Lecture in Physics at the University of Northern Iowa. 

The lecture, titled “Building a Quantum Computer, One Atom at a Time,” will be presented by UNI Department of Physics alum Justin Bohnet on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Lang Hall Auditorium.The event is free and open to the public.
