The concert will also feature music by faculty artists Ann Bradfield, Tina Su, Heather Peyton, Polina Khatsko, Anthony Williams, Sean Botkin and Jean McDonald. Visiting artist Ronald Chioldi will present a piano recital. Ronald Chioldi is Professor of Music at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where he teaches piano, class piano, and music theory. As a performer, he has appeared recently in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Faculty and guests artist ensemble Christopher's Very Happy.Band. (CVH.B.) will present a concert featuring bright jazz compositions. Faculty artist Christopher Merz, saxophone, will be joined by guest artists Mike Conrad, piano, Drew Morton, bass, and Dave Tiede, drums. This event is free and open to the public.

This concert, coordinated by Bob Washut, is a tribute to Cedar Walton, an important jazz pianist and composer who passed away last year (August 2013). It features UNI faculty and alumni, in addition to guest drummer John Kizilarmut. Several special jazz nonet arrangements of Walton's compositions, including three by members of the ensemble, will be performed. This event is free and open to the public.
UNI School of Music faculty artist Randy Grabowski will present a trumpet recital with faculty pianist Polina Khatsko, featuring a wide variety of work from a turn-of-the-century test piece for the conservatory in Liege (Belgium) to a wild and difficult modern Sonata by American James Stephenson. The performance will also include a haunting new Elegy by Polish composer Miroslow Gasieniec, the highly jazz-influenced Sonata by American jazz trumpeter Charles Reskin, and one of the few solo works by John Philip Sousa. Suttle will collaborate with UNI faculty artist Polina Khatsko, piano. Suttle is a software executive and orchestral trumpet player/soloist. Repertoire will include pieces by John Williams, V.
