Evan O’Leary, Graduate Student at Iowa State University presents Electronic Structure of Rare-earth Diantimonide LaSb2. Experimental investigation of electronic structure is essential to our theoretical understanding of how macroscopic properties arise due to quantum interactions. Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) is one method used to study the electronic structure of materials. Hear a brief overview of ARPES and discuss the electronic structure of the rare-earth diantimonide LaSb2.
