Film Screening: "High Ground"

"High Ground: 11 Wounded Warriors, Climbing Home From War" follows a group of veterans from Irag and Afghanistan as they climb Mt. Lobuche in the Himalayas attempting to heal the emotional and physical wounds of war. Panel discussion featuring members of the UNI Veterans Association and Chad Jukes, one of the soldiers featured in the film, follows the screening. Refreshments will be served; free and open to the public.

Inclusion Event: Willing and Able Screening/Panel with Exhibits

This is the 2nd annual Inclusion event hosted by the Center for Disability Studies in Literacy, Language and Learning. Join us for an exhibit of art by individuals with disabilities as well as exhibits. The documentary, "Willing and Able" will begin at 7 p.m. This film takes the viewer into the Patrick O'Hearn School in Dorchester, Mass., a tough neighborhood of Boston. The school is inclusive where one-third of the students have disabilities of some kind. A panel discussion follows the screening.
