Executive Development Center: Project Management Workshop

This course will prepare individuals for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam. This comprehensive test prep course will maximize participants' study time by identifying the knowledge gaps and outlining a study plan. Learn from an expert the tricks for taking the exams, memorizing formulas, and understanding the PMP questions. To learn more about earning a Project Management certification visit their website.
This class is taught by a Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute. Participants will be awarded credits from the instructor that can be used toward the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or toward continuing education credits for those who already hold the PMP designation.

- $1,395 for first registrant from your organization (per 3-day course)
- $1,195 for each additional participant from the same organiation (per 3-day course)

Leadership Development Certificate Program

This certificate program offered by UNI's Executive Development Center is designed to turn good managers into great leaders. You will be challenged to change from thinking like a manager to thinking like a strategic leader. The target audience for this program is the experience manager who desires to move into a senior leadership position. Anyone can attend our programs regardless of whether they have attended college.
WHEN: Classes begin August 8 and conclude on November 28, 2012. Classes are scheduled approximately every other Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: Classes will be conducted in UNI's Business and Community Services building, room 30.

WHAT: Success occurs one conversation at a time. Businesses are losing billions of dollars every year because communication is ineffective, misunderstood and misinterpreted. This failure is measured by absenteeism, turnover, unproductive time and grievance filings.
Four conversation models will be examined and practiced:
1. Team conversations
2. Coaching conversations
3. Delegation conversations
4. Confrontation conversations
During class, you will:
-Identify practices that are holding you back from open and meaningful conversations.
-Gain the capacity to connect with your colleagues and customers at a deeper level.
-Engage in active dialogue sessions applying the key practices that lead to more open, candid and respectful communication.
