There will be an Academic Advising workshop following the yik-yak and anonymous social media webinar to learn more about first-generation student needs, academic success tools, and legal and ethical issues in the job search students face.
Disney Dine and Discuss is a program hosted by the Office of Academic Advising. Participants will learn about the Disney College Program and the application process. Two alumni from the program will be present to answer questions.
Majors in Minutes is a way for students to learn more about a major. Set up is similar to speed dating; every seven minutes, a bell will ring and you have the choice to stay at your current table or visit a new one. This is a come and go event; bring any questions that you would like to have answered.
Junior and senior students from various majors will share their experiences or answer your questions regarding a major. This is a student to student event. Talk to your RA or PAIR, grab a couple of friends and join us that night.
This event provides a venue for campus academic advisors to address information covering best practices, resources and campus updates impacting academic advisors. It is a come and go event with three sessions of workshops at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. ranging in topics from career purpose/readiness, studying abroad, financial aid and transfer students.

“Majors in Minutes” is a speed-dating approach to learning more about majors or careers of interest to you. At this event, you, or a group of students, interested in a major will visit with junior or senior students in that major for five minutes. After five minutes, you can remain at that station or move to another station of your choosing. You can visit as many stations as you like or as few as you like.
This workshop is open to all faculty and staff to assist advisors get connected with campus resources and become more informed about services available. This will help advisors make more accurate referrals and be better prepared to advise their students. Attend any or all of the sessions as you can.
