The Panther Plot, the on-campus student garden, invites all students, staff, faculty and community members for a celebration of the harvest season! Join us for appetizer samples made with produce straight from the garden, cooking demonstrations by Food Network personality Amy Thielen, music spun by a local DJ, games, and tours of the garden.

This is a fun 5K Run/Walk with proceeds benefiting the efforts of Green Iowa AmeriCorps, a local non-profit that provides free home energy audits and weatherizations to populations in need.
5K Course: Follows the UNI South Campus Trails, Start and Finish at the CEEE Arch
Entry Fee: $15 Donation -participants will receive a reusable water bottle, access to the runners station and a running bib.
Awards: Prizes will be awarded for the Greenest Outfit (Be Creative), as well as the Top Finisher in the four categories, 35+ Male/Female and Under 35 Male/Female.
Come to the CEEE September 27th at 7:00. Amazing chef, Dan Ankrum of Avant Garde Catering, will be preparing courses using local products and discussing how sustainability relates directly to dining around the area.
Along with great food and entertainment, the student organizations UNI Green Life, Green Project UNI, Student Nature Society (SNS), and Northern Iowa Student Energy Corp will be attending to pass along information about their clubs and why and how you should get involved.

The UNI community is invited to join the University Sustainability Council to recognize the ongoing sustainability efforts on campus and reflect on what the future holds for sustainability efforts. Father Bud Grant, St. Ambrose University, will be the keynote speaker.
UNI Green Project will show the movie, "No Impact Man." This documentary involves a man and his family who spend a year living in the middle of New York City while trying to have no net impact on the environment. They do this by decreasing their negative habits and increasing the positive effects they have on the world around them.
