2012 Norman Cohn Family Holocaust Remembrance and Education Lecture: "Memories of a Child Survivor of the Holcoaust"

The 4th Annual Norman Cohn Family Holocaust Remembrance and Education Lecture will be given by Inge Auerbacher, survivor of Terezín (Theresienstadt) Concentration Camp, where she was interned between the ages of seven and ten. The title of her presentation is “Memories of a Child Survivor of the Holocaust.”

In 1946 Inge Auerbacher emigrated to the United States and has lived since then in New York City. She received a degree in chemistry from Queens College of the City University of New York, and has done graduate studies in biochemistry. Before her retirement she worked for 38 years in medical research and clinical work. She is the author of several books on the Holocaust, including the story of her survival, I Am a Star, and is the recipient of numerous awards for her books and her work teaching tolerance and human rights.

This event is free and open to the public. A book signing and reception will follow the presentation.
