REGISTERING FOR CLEP AT UNI

Step 1:  Select the CLEP exam(s) you wish to take.  Confirm your eligibility to earn credit for the exam you selected. You may not earn CLEP credit for a course you have previously attempted (earned a W or a grade) or completed, or for a course at a similar level or one that is more advanced in content. Check the list of Examinations for specific restrictions on the exam you wish to take.  Credit earned through Advanced Placement may disqualify CLEP credit.  UNI allows only one attempt for credit per examination.  For assistance with eligibility questions, contact the Academic Learning Center.
 

Step 2:  Obtain a copy of the CLEP Registration form from the link which follows or at Academic Learning Center.  Complete the form.

Step 3:  Return the completed registration form to 007 ITT (Innovative Teaching and Technology Center; formerly the East Gym).  Include $20 per exam (nonrefundable registration fee), which may be paid by cash or by check or money order made out to UNI. An exam reservation will not be made for you until payment is received.  The registration form and fee should be received by Examination and Evaluation Services at least 3 days prior to the day you want to take the exam.
 

Step 4:  Prepare for the exam.

Step 5:  You will be contacted either by phone or mail to set up your examination date and time.

Step 6:  Report to 007 ITT (Innovative Teaching and Technology Center; formerly the East Gym); be sure to arrive on time. You must bring two forms of identification and payment. The primary form of ID must be a government-issued photo ID with signature, the secondary form of ID must have a photo or signature. The examination fee of $77.00 may be paid by check or money order made out to CLEP or by a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB).
