ASCD Announces Support of the Effective Teaching and Leading Act

From ASCD:

Introduced by Senator Jack Reed, D-R.I., the Effective Teaching and Leading Act would help schools develop and support effective educators by implementing proven, team-based professional-development strategies. Specifically, the act calls for dedicated mentoring time for teachers during the school week and proposes multiyear induction for new teachers and principals.
