Lifelong University

It's easy to go beyond the classroom and into the community with the University of Northern Iowa's Lifelong University and Speakers Bureau. These programs have a great impact on individuals, businesses and communities in Iowa.

Lifelong University

UNI's Lifelong University (LLU) launched in 2005 to offer short-term, noncredit courses to the lifelong learner.

Panther Pride is alive during Homecoming

The colors purple and gold seem to dominate the University of Northern Iowa student's wardrobe this time of year. Window paint and an abundance of sidewalk chalk appear overnight and Panther Pride Cries can be heard throughout campus. This can mean only one thing…Homecoming!

Kaleidoscope Series offers live performances for students

A school field trip is something almost every student looks forward to. Leaving behind the classroom for a day leads to an out of the ordinary educational experience. That's exactly the kind of experience the University of Northern Iowa's Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) offers with Allen Hospital's Kaleidoscope Series for Youth.

A Lifetime of Learning Opportunities

Benjamin Franklin said, "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." As a lifelong learner, Franklin knew that it doesn’t matter if the investment is made when you're 8, 18 or 80 because the dividends are the same: your world becomes broader, your life becomes richer and your wisdom becomes deeper. What does matter, however, is that you keep learning.
