It's easy to go beyond the classroom and into the community with the University of Northern Iowa's Lifelong University and Speakers Bureau. These programs have a great impact on individuals, businesses and communities in Iowa.
UNI's Lifelong University (LLU) launched in 2005 to offer short-term, noncredit courses to the lifelong learner.

A school field trip is something almost every student looks forward to. Leaving behind the classroom for a day leads to an out of the ordinary educational experience. That's exactly the kind of experience the University of Northern Iowa's Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) offers with Allen Hospital's Kaleidoscope Series for Youth.

Benjamin Franklin said, "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." As a lifelong learner, Franklin knew that it doesn’t matter if the investment is made when you're 8, 18 or 80 because the dividends are the same: your world becomes broader, your life becomes richer and your wisdom becomes deeper. What does matter, however, is that you keep learning.
School is in session at the University of Northern Iowa, and for the next year this is a student’s home away from home. To greet newcomers and returning faces, Student Affairs rolled out Welcome Week 2011.
Not only do students get to experience field visits while enrolled in the Iowa-Teach Program, TC gets the chance to participate as well.

As I recap my last four years at the University of Northern Iowa, nostalgia sets in and a whirlwind flashback begins, reminiscing on the great experiences and people that I have been fortunate to come across during my time here.
The culmination of four years will come to a close this Saturday for 1,900 Panther students as we begin a new chapter in our lives.
