Program Goals and Objectives:

The mission of the Department of Theatre is to provide university students with an experiential, liberal-arts education in theatre through coursework and productions which are diverse, creative, and participatory. The Department provides leadership in theatre education and creates an environment that acknowledges that theatre is about people and for people. Thus, the Department prepares majors to contribute to the discipline and to work in a process that embraces people. We create theatre and in this process, educate.
