Carol Colburn

Dr. Colburn taught previously at Oberlin College in Ohio, and has worked for The Guthrie Theatre, The Children's Theatre Company, and The Minnesota Opera in Minneapolis. She designs costumes for theatre, opera and dance, and creates reproduction historical clothing for museum exhibitions. Dr. Colburn has research affiliations with museums in Norway for ongoing research on clothing and handwoven textiles. She has done guest curatorial and catalog research for Vesterhiem Norwegian-American Museum in Decorah, Iowa and the Museum of American Folk Art in New York. Current research and publication topics include dress among immigrant groups in America, and dress and identity in portraiture.

Leonard M. Curtis

Professor Curtis has worked at a guest artist and instructor at Coe College , Cornell College , Grinnell College , Indiana State University, and the University of Iowa . Professional credits include scenic artist appointments at Missouri Repertory Theatre in Kansas City , Missouri , and design appointments at the University of Iowa Summer Repertory Theatre, Iowa City, Iowa . In 2005, Backstage featured Professor Curtis among theatre artists contributing to important summer theatre training opportunities in the Midwest .

Linda Grimm

Instructor Grimm's field of experience includes costume technology, tailoring and millinery. She has been guest costume designer and technical director for UNI Theatre productions. She also does historical costume research, patterning and construction for the open-air museum Old World Wisconsin.

Ron Koinzan

Ron Koinzan comes to UNI after serving as the Technical Director at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Prior to this he was employed at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, as the Production Manager/Technical Director for the School of Music's Opera program. This last summer he spent his 7th year at Cabrillo Stage in Aptos, CA . Additional credits include Sacramento Theatre Company, Celebration Arts, and the Redwood Curtain.

Mark A Parrott

Mr. Parrott comes to UNI from Northwest Missouri State University, where he has worked as a scenic designer and technical director.  He has worked professionally at Graceland College, Clinton Showboat Theatre, Central Missouri Repertory Theatre, Maritz Communications Company in St. Louis, and Dinner Playhouse Inc. in Kansas City.

Professor RohrBerg's work as a costume designer has included engagements at Timber Lake Playhouse in Illinois; The Barn Theatre of Augusta, Michigan; Peoria Civic Opera in Illinois; and The Old Creamery Theatre in Iowa.  She is an active member of USITT and her specialties include mask making, Kabuki Theatre and millinery.
