Screening auditions for Midwest Theatre Auditions
MWTA-Midwest Theatre Auditions
Are you a pre-professional actor, looking for summer or year-round work? Does the idea of working at a professional theatre, cruise ship or amusement park sound exciting to you? You've come to the right place!
Every February, Webster University hosts the Midwest Theatre Auditions. Many theatres and entertainment organizations are in attendance looking for actors, singers and dancers to cast their summer season. The Midwest Theatre Audition takes place at the end of February and will be at Webster University in St. Louis, MO.
All UNI Theatre students, must attend (and pass) a screening by a panel of adjudicators, in order to register for the big audition in February. These Screening Auditions will be November 3rd and 4th, at 6pm in the StrayerWood.
Each auditionee will have a one-and-a-half-minute time frame to present one or two pieces. At least one piece must be non-musical. Musical pieces are encouraged for those wishing to be considered for musicals. An accompanist will be provided.
Those who have passed the UNI screening auditions, will register that weekend following, to ensure an audition slot in February.
Until then, enjoy working on your audition piece and materials.
