Strayer-Wood Theatre
Costume Studio

The fully operational costume studio in the basement of the Strayer-Wood Theatre supports costume production at Theatre UNI. Students get hands-on experience in the creation of costumes, and the facility supports spaces for dying and painting fabric as well as laundry spaces and storage for a vast collection of garments. Faculty supervisors provide individual instruction to students working for class credit and paid employees. Many times this training involves the construction of garments, including period costumes, from start to finish. The department also offers classes such as Patterning and Costume design.

Costume Studio Hours 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
