Module 2
Email, Introduction

In this module, you will:

  • collaboratively analyze InTime videos to summarize the strengths and weaknesses of individual videos
  • collaboratively compare/contrast the two lesson plans in those videos and how they incorporated the use of email
  • collaboratively make recommendations, if any, on how email could have been better used in the lesson plans depicted in the videos
  • identify descriptive information for your Lesson Plan
  • write the purpose and objectives for your Lesson Plan

Most of us are probably quite familiar with casual uses of email. If you're like me, you get bombarded daily with cute jokes, chain mail, and spam (Internet junk mail). You probably have a few friends and family members with whom you stay in touch regularly. Occasionally, you hear from someone you don't have the opportunity to connect with on a regular basis.

If this is your experience with email, you're probably wondering how it could possibly have pedagogical uses. How can email enhance instruction? In this module, we'll look at how some creative teachers are putting email to terrific use to add value to their regular classroom instruction.
