Module 2
Email, Activities
Each activity is based on your readings and evaluations of the videos. Within each activity below, you will find links to the materials on the Readings and Videos pages that will help you complete each Activity.

Activity 1, Introduction
Review the module introduction, objectives, and evaluation rubric.

Activity 2, Collaborative Activity: Video Analysis
Your Instructor will assign groups of three. Each team will be analyzing two videos. Through email with your teammates:

  • summarize the strengths of the use of email in each video
  • summarize the weaknesses of how email was used in each video
  • compare/contrast the two lesson plans and how they incorporated the use of email
  • make recommendations on how email could have been better used in the lesson plans depicted in the videos

Create a team report answering the questions above. One member of the team should post the team report, noting all team members' names.

Post the report to the Discussion list using the subject line TT: Module 2, Activity 2. Your Instructor will facilitate an online discussion based on team reports. You should be prepared to discuss all three videos.

Activity 3, Reflection: Group Work
In an email to your Instructor, reflect upon your role as a group member in Activity 2, your experiences as a part of a group, and your recommendations to make group work successful and rewarding. Use the subject line TT: Module 2, Activity 3.

Activity 4, Lesson Plan
In your Lesson Plan document, which you are creating from the template you downloaded in Module 1, complete the following sections:

    • give the lesson a descriptive yet appealing title
    • identify the class for the lesson
    • identify the grade level for the lesson
    • identify the subject area for the lesson
    • select the duration of the lesson as close as possible to the duration of your lesson
    • concisely and descriptively write a one paragraph lesson purpose
    • list the objectives of the lesson
      • delete "will understand" and use higher order descriptive verbs from Bloom's Taxonomy

Share this information with a classmate assigned by your Instructor. Complete a PQP Peer Review for one another. Once you have completed any revisions, submit your project to your Instructor in an email using the subject line TT: Module 2, Activity 4.

Make sure to update your Lesson Plan document based on Instructor feedback.

When you have completed all of the activities in this module,
