PQP: Praise, Question, Polish
Peer Review Process

We're going to use the writers' workshop feedback technique. PQP is an acronym used to describe the peer conferencing procedure. PQP means...give praise, ask questions, and provide a suggestion or two for polishing.

Here's how the PQP process works. Pretend the person is sitting beside you asking these questions:

  • What did you like about my Lesson Plan title and description? (Praise)
  • What questions do you have about my Lesson Plan title and description? (Question)
  • How can I improve my Lesson Plan title and description? (Polish)

Simply email your comments and suggestions to the author of the project.

After you receive PQP feedback, you can take their ideas and suggestions, modify your project, (if you don't like the suggestions, keep your project as is) and send your final copy to the Instructor by email.

ALWAYS save a copy of your projects on your hard drive or diskette before sending for peer review. Sometimes computers die, or files get deleted accidentally.

Hopefully, you'll see that this is a simple yet very effective method to conduct peer review!
