Module 4
Video, Introduction

In this module, you will:

  • collaboratively analyze InTime videos to
    • describe the types of audio/visual techniques that were used in the videos you viewed
    • analyze the effectiveness of the audio/visual portions of the lesson
    • make recommendations for use of audio/visual elements in the K-12 classroom
  • identify elements to be included in your Lesson Plan

In this module, we will examine the production of audio/visual tools incorporated into lesson plans and the use of video conferencing. You will see how video conferencing can be used to allow students around the world to collaborate with one another to participate in some very exciting learning opportunities.

Motivation is a key element to student learning, and students get very excited about the use of video! The idea of being able to "meet" students from other communities, states, and countries is a terrific motivational element. Also, collaboration is another motivational element. Put video and collaboration together, and you're going to have a blockbuster Lesson Plan!

Let's take a look at some wonderfully creative lessons that incorporate audio/visual production or video conferencing elements.
