Multimedia, Introduction
In this module, you will:
- collaboratively analyze InTime videos to
- describe the types of multimedia presentation that
were used in the videos you viewed
- analyze the effectiveness of the multimedia presentation
portions of the lesson
- make recommendations for use of multimedia presentations
in the K-12 classroom
- identify and justify the technology component to be included
in your Lesson Plan
Though we do not address learning styles in this class (we
do that in Learning
Styles: Instructional Strategies Using Technology), one
cannot help but acknowledge that possibly the greatest advantage
of multimedia software is that it appeals to learners of all
learning styles.
Multimedia software allows the user to incorporate audio,
visual, text, graphics, and moving images all into one piece
of technology. Sounds powerful and intriguing, yes? We'll
be taking a look at how teachers are using KidPix Deluxe,
HyperStudio, Avid Cinema, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe
Premiere in creative ways in their classrooms.
