Design for K - 12 Educators
Welcome to our class!
Now that you have registered for class, you must be eager
to get underway. First, make sure that you have completed
the Orientation Activities
and reviewed technical requirements.
Next, let's review the format of organization and navigation
for the workshop. This workshop is comprised of twelve modules
of instruction. Each module progresses in sequential order.
Each module is comprised of five pages:
- Introduction
- Readings
- Videos
- Activities
- Evaluation
Whenever you begin a module, you should:
- Skim each of these pages in order.
- Return to the Activities page and review the work
due for that assignment.
- Read the Evaluation page more carefully to review
the rubric for the activities.
- Read the Introduction page.
- Go to the Readings page and complete the assigned
readings based on the activities and instructions on the
Readings page.
- Go to the Videos page and follow the instructions
to view videos selected for each module.
- Complete the activities on the Activities page,
cross-checking your work to the rubric on the Evaluation
page.
All communication for your class will be conducted on the
Discussion list, also known as the "listserv" or
electronic mailing list. At any time, if you would like to
speak individually to your Instructor, please email him/her
using the contact information on the Class
Info page or phone him/her (you will be given the phone
number at the beginning of the workshop).
Every page in this class will contain a link to the class
Site Map. Go here to quickly find
your way around or link between modules.
Communication: You will find links to the Class
Info page at the top and bottom of every page that will
give you quick email access to the Discussion list and the
Instructor.
Now, let's begin! Go to Introductory
Activities.
