Student Voice—UTESAC (Undergraduate Teacher Education Student Advisory Council)
UTESAC
- Represents YOU, a UNI undergraduate teaching major, on the Council on Teacher Education (UNI’s Teacher Ed governing body). (2 UTESAC reps serve on CTE.)
- Helps deliver Teacher Education Orientation each semester.
- Plans events for teacher education majors (outside speakers like Chet Culver and the Teacher of the Year).
- Conducts surveys of teaching majors to improve the Teacher Education Program.Provides 1st-hand advice to Teacher Ed. Program at monthly meetings.
- Gives you a leadership experience to put on your vita.

Requirements of nominees:
- Fully admitted to the Teacher Ed. Program at the time the appointment begins
- Have and maintain a 2.50 minimum GPA
- Able to serve at least 2 semesters prior to student teaching (preferably 3-4 semesters of service)
