--Early Program--
Requirements:
- DCI Check: strongly recommended prior to first UNI field experience.
- Declaration of Curriculum - 2nd Semester or at Transfer Orientation
- Successful Application to Teacher Education (.pdf)
- OSHA Training (See MyUNIverse for dates)
- Pass PPST
- Orientation to T. Ed Program during Level I
- Full Admission to Teacher Education Program Finished
Coursework:
- Oral Communications (48C:001)
- Reading/Writing (620:005)
- Level I Courses: 200:017 and 200:030
- Do 240:020 or 240:031 now or in mid-program
--Mid Program--
Requirements:
- Convocation (usually April or November, depending on the semester you are accepted to the Teacher Education Program)
- High Risk Behavior and Substance Abuse Seminar
- Student Teaching Roundup (see MyUNIverse) - One year before student teaching.
- Apply for graduation at the time of registration for student teaching.
- Fingerpring and Background Check - One semester prior to student teaching.
Coursework:
- Human Relations (280:070) sometime in this block.
- Classroom Assessment (250:150)
- Level II Courses: 240:148 and 200:128
- Level III Courses: 260:119
- Methods courses
- Do 240:020 or 240:031 now if not done earlier.
--Student Teaching Semester--
Requirements:
- Complete successful Teacher Work Sample
- Apply for teaching license.
