The Center sponsors and offers a variety of workshops, seminars, and institutes each year. Although the topics of offerings vary from year to year, the primary focus covers five areas, introduced below:
  • Instructional Development: How can I improve my course design, student participation and discussion in class, or my testing and grading?
  • Teaching Renewal: Which offerings of the Center focus on significant philosophical and theoretical ideas for my development as a teacher?
  • A Campus of Difference: Does the Center have a program that addresses social diversity concerns?
  • Liberal Arts Core: How does the Center support faculty who teach in the Liberal Arts Core?
  • Larger Classes: If I am teaching a larger class, or one larger than I normally do, how can the Center help me?
