New faculty often experience unexpected challenges and opportunities in their transition to the university. To assist new faculty their first year at UNI, the Center offers special support in the form of individual and group assistance. Center programs for new faculty focus on the following:

  • Orientation: What assistance does the Center offer new faculty to help orient them to the University?
  • Mentoring: How does the Center work with new faculty mentors who are assigned by their departments?
  • Seminars: What group support does the center organize to focus on the teaching and research concerns of new faculty?
  • Follow-Up: In what way does the Center assess whether support for the first-year experience of new faculty is effective as well as what can be improved?

Select one of these choices to locate more detailed information about the Center's support of new faculty.
