The overall purpose of the Capstone Workshop is similar to that of the Humanities Institute. Developers and participants intend to strengthen student learning and student appreciation of the Liberal Arts Core experience. Another benefit of the workshop is the opportunity for faculty participants to improve their instructional design, evaluation, and teaching abilities, which are skills that can be applied to any courses they teach.
