About studying at the Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand)

AUT was definitely the perfect choice for my exchange. I’m an Accounting /Finance major and am studying International Business here in Auckland. The city provides the perfect atmosphere for the course; it has people from every nation and ethnic background. I have met so many interesting people that I could virtually go anywhere in the world and have a place to crash.

The thing I like most about my classes is that are totally integrated with each other. It’s not like at UNI where in one class you learn about accounting and you have another about finance and ratios…in every class you incorporate all of these subjects and you can see how they flow together. The staff here are absolutely fantastic…easily approachable and always willing to help.

Obviously though, I didn’t come here just to study…New Zealand is THE place to go for adventure. Unlike the States where everything is so spread out, here you can drive to the beach in an hour and then head south an hour and go skiing. I have gone bungee jumping, white water rafting, sea kayaking, hiking on glaciers, skydiving, sailing… you name it, I’ve tried it. Oh, and did I mention...no snow!?!
