Prep Course
If you are interested study abroad we highly recommend signing up for the Studies in Preparation for Study Abroad course (POSTSEC 3186). It is taught by the Director of Study Abroad. The class meets one evening per week (typically Monday nights) and is a 3 credit course. All the work associated with the course is that which you would need to complete for to your study abroad experience (might as well get credit for it!). Not only this, but you will have the director's time for 3 hours each week to answer questions and help you with anything you might need.
Most students are busy with many other things throughout the semester and this course is the best way to stay organized and not let your study abroad plans end up on the back burner. This course isn't requirement, nor does it obligate you to study abroad - just a helpful tool!
Definitely consider this as you prepare to study abroad. Depending on your plans, we think it keeps students ahead of schedule with regard preparing and applying for your study abroad program.
