eastern Canada, and for other great outdoor adventures such as canoeing, hiking,
sea-kayaking, and iceberg watching. you will be just minutes away from alpine
skiing at Marble Mountain, excellent cross country skiing, golfing,
snowmobiling. The city is also a mere 80 kilometers
(50 Miles)
from Gros Morne National
Park, a United Nations World Heritage Site.
SIR WILFRED GRENFELL COLLEGE
Established in 1975, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College is a campus of Memorial
University of Newfoundland, the largest university in Atlantic Canada. Grenfell
offers the intimacy of a 1,300-student liberal arts college coupled with all the
advantages of being part of a large, modern university. Our small class sizes
and low instructor-student ratio mean that students get individual attention and
develop excellent relationships with their professors and classmates. The
College is a center for cultural activities with a number of theater productions
each semester and on-going art gallery exhibits.
