LENNOXVILLE
Lennoxville is a small, bilingual town of 5000 and one of the most beautiful
rural areas of Canada. Bishop?s is only five minutes from Sherbrooke, a
predominantly French-speaking city of more than 100,000 people. For those of all
backgrounds, our bilingual environment offers a truly enriching opportunity.
Montreal is less than two-hours away and can be reached by car or bus. Ottawa,
Toronto, Quebec City, New York and Boston are within a half day?s drive. Several
nearby lakes and ski resorts add up to Bishop?s numerous recreational
opportunities including downhill/cross-country skiing, and horseback riding.
BISHOP?S UNIVERSITY
Bishop?s University, founded in 1843, is an English-speaking institution
whose primary concern is to offer quality education to undergraduate students in
the humanities, education, social sciences, natural sciences, and business
administration. Students enjoy facilities such as: a theatre which offers
various dramatic productions, concerts and films; an art gallery with frequent
exhibitions; a sports complex with tennis and squash courts, indoor and outdoor
pools, gymnasium, weight training room, martial arts space and dance studio.
Annual enrollment is approximately 2,500 students. At Bishop?s a major emphasis
is placed on personal contact between faculty and students through small classes
