Students Abroad
Planning Guide
The planning guide is a compass, a tool that has a lot of basic but important
information for the student who is abroad. To refresh your memory on some of
those basic topics, you may find the Guide helpful
Study
Abroad Handbook
While you are away from campus, both you and your parents have access to the
Study Abroad Handbook on our web site. Some topics that made no sense or
relevance to you before your departure will possibly have more meaning now that
you are away. Feel free to read sections of the book again and again to help you
get through the various phases of cultural adjustment cycle and/or to find
information on various aspects of being away from campus. Programs
Sometimes a study abroad experience gives students a taste of the
possibilities. About 10% of the students participate in study abroad
programs more than once. If you want to see some academic study, work,
internship, research, volunteer options for a "second serving", check
out the Programs page.
