PASSPORTS AND VISAS IN A HURRY
If you need your visa in a hurry, you may find services of visa expeditors
necessary. These businesses charge a fee for their services.
VISA INFORMATION To learn whether you need a student visa or other
documents study in another country, contact your study abroad advisor or your
program director. Not all study abroad destinations require a visa but it may be
necessary to have other types of documentation to carry with
you.
Foreign embassies in
Washington, D.C.- this site is invaluable for those wishing to learn about
a particular country. Consular information (visas and other regulations) are
available on the web site and by either calling or e-mailing embassy
staff. In many cases, you will be referred for further assistance to the
regional consulate. Some but not all of the nearest consulates are located in
Chicago, IL.
