International Student Identity Card (ISIC)

The International Student Identity Card provides a number of discounts and benefits for the student traveler.  In addition to the chance at low-cost student airfares, holders of the card are also entitled to a number of other benefits such as travel insurance (not the same as medical insurance).  

All students on UNI programs offered by the Office of International Programs are strongly recommended to purchase the International Student Identity Card.  One of the benefits to cardholders is supplemental accident and travel insurance. While this coverage is not likely to meet your needs for adequate medical insurance, it is a low-cost way to have extra coverage not provided by many US health insurance policies and many short-term health insurance policies.
