EMBASSIES AND CONSULATES

To find out about foreign entry requirements - and a host of other things - to the country where you will study or plan to visit during your stay, the single most important resource is the embassy or consulate of the destination country. Embassies and consulates are located in Washington, D.C. and in other major U.S. cities.  To find the embassy or consulate you need, check out the Electronic Embassy Web (http://wwww.embassy.org).

Information posted on the embassy/consulate web site, while very helpful, is not always up to date.  It is your responsibility to both call and write to the embassy and request visa application materials to be sent to you. With the exception of Russia, our office does not process visa applications.  It is your responsibility to obtain a visa, if required, for your stay abroad to all countries you intend to visit.
