The Clothesline Project 2016
Student Wellness Services in partnership with the UNI Women's and Gender Studies Program will be participating in the Clothesline Project in honor of Relationship Violence Awareness Month. The Clothesline Project is a program that raises awareness for violence against women, the LGBTQ* community, and other marginalized populations. People who have been affected by violence, be it first-hand or otherwise, are invited to decorate a t-shirt with their thoughts, feelings, and supportive messages surrounding the subject. These shirts will then be hung on a clothesline in Maucker Union for all to see.
This October, please come to decorate a shirt and bear witness to the issue of violence against women. If you are interested in volunteering for this event or want to know more information, please contact Anna Blaho at firstname.lastname@example.org or Taylor Wirtanen at email@example.com.
